About

Knight Errant Academy of Chivalry teaches medieval martial arts in Henderson, Nevada for children, teens, and adults. Since 2005, we have combined historical European martial arts with practical training and the timeless virtues of chivalry to help students develop confidence, discipline, skill, and character.

Students learn swordsmanship, wrestling, movement, self-defense, and tournament competition through a curriculum inspired by historical martial arts manuscripts and refined through decades of study and instruction. Along the way, they explore history, craftsmanship, leadership, and the values that guided the knights of old.

Gemini Asonte

Syr Gemini Asonte is the founder and chief instructor of Knight Errant Academy of Chivalry. With more than forty years of martial arts experience and over twenty years of teaching, he has devoted his life to the study of martial arts, history, and the ideals of chivalry.

Since founding the Academy in 2005, he has developed a unique curriculum that combines historical European martial arts, practical self-defense, physical fitness, and character development. Drawing from decades of training, competition, and research into medieval martial traditions, his goal is to help students build confidence, discipline, skill, and leadership both on and off the training floor.

Today, Syr Gemini teaches children, teens, and adults in Henderson, Nevada, helping students develop the martial skills, confidence, discipline, and character that have long been associated with the ideal of knighthood.

Our Vision

Like it's other counterparts all over the world, the martial arts of medieval Europe are a complete and rich system. The hard part was the instruction. Medieval fight masters were publishing in their own time and were very careful not to give away their "secrets".  Some manuscripts are written in code, other in poetic verse of that language and time period. Others have no instruction at all or none that survives. Knight Errant Academy of Chivalry teaches as much from the original source as we can and use many years of study along with thousands of hours of practical application. Together with a focus on the virtues of chivalry and some historical instruction on life in that era, our students are involved in a rich and exciting art they can rely on every day.
